In memory of a founder member and former chairman of the club this trophy will be awarded to the winner of the ‘New Image Challenge’ for the duration of the club season.

Peter was always keen to help ‘newcomers’ to photography through wise guidance and practical support and the Trophy should encourage all to submit images to the challenge.

New Image Challenge Rules


Members should enter 4 JPEG images. To qualify:

Images must be no more than 12 months old and must not have been previously entered for club league competitions or the previous New Image Challenge.

There are no restrictions regarding use of images submitted to the New Image Challenge in other club competitions, so long as the images conform to the rules of that competition.

Submission is via the on-line ‘PhotoEntry’ programme. Images must be submitted no later than the Friday prior to the competition.

Images’ dimensions should be no more than 1920 pixels wide and 1200 pixels in height.

The images will be judged in random order and marked out of 20. The entrant with the highest total score for their 4 images will be declared the winner.

The winner will be awarded the ‘Peter Harvey Trophy’ for the duration of the club year.
